On the upcoming Sunday night the Raven Show takes place around the Bruchsee in Halle Neustadt. This show is a mobile radio performance in the continuation of the broadcast Find Your Own Raven Voice, a live on-air-play which was happening for the month of October on Radio CORAX.
The Raven Show creates a moment for ravens to take shape, to dance, sing and to scream. Say hello to winter, to the trees, the birds, the stones and the water. Come along with your flashlights, your noise and your energy and join our stroll around the lake!

Hi listeners,
here, you are listening to a vocal composition based on the recordings of the live broadcast Find Your Own Raven Voice. The broadcast was a live on air experiment, happening for the month of October on Radio Corax. Twice a week, I invited a member of the radio to join me in the studio for a “Hörspiel”.

Find Your Own Raven Voice layed a playground for non-verbal encounters. The raven voice found there is deconstructing the language, it is a voice without tone and gender, a voice that allows transformation.

This week a compilation from Find Your Own Raven Voice travels through the Radia Network - and airs on Radio CORAX saturday, 2.30 pm.

Hi listeners, here I’m talking about the present voice, sharing energy and transformation. Here, I’m talking about performance, about body feeling facing the microphone. Here, your are listening to a composition with the voices of Radio Corax members.

Twice a week, I invite a voice of Corax to join me in the studio for a live “Hörspiel”.

Find Your Own Raven Voice is an on air playground to improvise the deconstruction of language, our uncontrolled voice, and to hear a voice we’ve never heard before.

Find Your Own Raven Voice is a live on air game which makes you hear a voice you’ve never heard before. On the playground of the radio studio, this broadcast questions the identity of your present voice.

“What does it mean to identify with a voice?“

Within the course of the three-month residency, Claire Serres will explore the human voice in the medium of radio: What does it mean to speak on the radio? To be identified with a voice, to represent a voice?

The artist looks for answers in the varied and democratic free radio. With body and voice as her tools, Claire Serres will undertake a radiophonic metamorphosis, broadcasting her embodiment of the radio.

Claire Serres works as an editor for the free Radio Fréquence Paris Plurielle 106.3 FM and since 2000 as a performance artist. She realizes her artworks in the public space using video, sound, radio and the internet amongst other media, and has previously been featured at documenta 14 Radio (2017), Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art Strasbourg (2016), Art’s Birthday SWR/E‑Werk Freiburg (2014), and Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien (2011).
