Kur\u00adda stu\u00addi\u00aded music in Sle\u00adma\u00adni, Kur\u00addi\u00adstan Regi\u00adon, Iraq and com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adon in Leip\u00adzig, Ger\u00adma\u00adny and Gothen\u00adburg, Swe\u00adden. In his per\u00adfor\u00adman\u00adces and com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons he uses the radio as an instru\u00adment to explo\u00adre the fre\u00adquen\u00adcy spec\u00adtrum as tonal material.<\/span>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><span lang=\"en-US\">I was always loo\u00adking for a way to make music and feel free at doing so \u2014 in the sen\u00adse that I didn\u2019t want to impo\u00adse a pre\u00adcon\u00adcei\u00adved idea on time, the explo\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon of space, or the per\u00adcep\u00adti\u00adon of the envi\u00adron\u00adment. And I found this free\u00addom in radio, in the fre\u00adquen\u00adci\u00ades that are free to be lis\u00adten\u00aded to and&nbsp;used.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Kur\u00adda will fur\u00adther explo\u00adre the free\u00addom in the frequency\u2019s inter\u00adme\u00addia\u00adry tones during his three-month resi\u00adden\u00adcy at Radio <span class=\"caps\">CORAX<\/span>. Under the title <\/span><em><span lang=\"en-US\">Listening\u2019s Urgen\u00adcy<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"en-US\"> he aims to deve\u00adlop a radio prac\u00adti\u00adce that will be con\u00adtin\u00adued in Kur\u00addi\u00adstan-Iraq, whe\u00adre he grew up and foun\u00added a fes\u00adti\u00adval for sound art and expe\u00adri\u00admen\u00adtal music in 2017, brin\u00adging artis\u00adtic sound prac\u00adti\u00adces into the public sphe\u00adre. <\/span>For the ope\u00adning of his resi\u00adden\u00adcy, Har\u00addi Kur\u00adda invi\u00adtes lis\u00adten\u00aders to par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adte in an inter\u00adac\u00adti\u00adve radio performance:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote lang=\"en-US\"><p>Through inter\u00adac\u00adtion, the visi\u00adtors should find or chan\u00adge dif\u00adfe\u00adrent fre\u00adquen\u00adci\u00ades through inter\u00adac\u00adtion. It is important to me that they lis\u00adten actively, inter\u00adact with each other and make decis\u00adi\u00adons.
