To mark the publi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon of the Radio Art Fes\u00adti\u00adval 2016 book Radio Revol\u00adten. 30 Days of Radio Art<\/em> and the ope\u00adning of the third Radio Art Resi\u00adden\u00adcy<\/em><\/a><\/strong> in coope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon with the Goe\u00adthe-Insti\u00adtut, a joint radio per\u00adfor\u00admance will take place on March 14 at the Hal\u00adle (Saa\u00adle) Ope\u00adra Caf\u00e9 and on air. The per\u00adfor\u00admance will bring tog\u00ade\u00adther the voices of Radio Revol\u00adten 2016 cura\u00adtors and artists, scho\u00adlar\u00adship hol\u00adders from the last two Radio Art Resi\u00adden\u00adci\u00ades, and the Bra\u00adzi\u00adli\u00adan com\u00adpo\u00adser and media artist Andr\u00e9 Dami\u00e3o<\/strong><\/a>, artist in resi\u00addence at Radio CORAX<\/span> for the next three months.\n

Radio Revolten radio performance with the radio artists<\/h5>\n

Knut Auf\u00ader\u00admann, Ste\u00adve Bates, Andr\u00e9 Dami\u00e3o, Anna Friz, Marold Lan\u00adger-Phil\u00adipp\u00adsen, Sal\u00adly Ann McIn\u00adty\u00adre, Sol Rez\u00adza, Clai\u00adre Ser\u00adres, Sarah Washing\u00adton and Ralf Wendt and radio makers of Radio CORAX<\/span><\/p>\n

In Octo\u00adber 2016, over 80 radio artists gathe\u00adred in Hal\u00adle (Saa\u00adle) for the Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal Radio Art Fes\u00adti\u00adval Radio Revol\u00adten<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. The book Radio Revol\u00adten. 30 Days of Radio Art<\/em> docu\u00adments the artis\u00adtic works from the festival\u2019s own radio sta\u00adti\u00adon, the instal\u00adla\u00adti\u00adons and per\u00adfor\u00adman\u00adces, and reflects con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adry artis\u00adtic approa\u00adches to the future use and social stan\u00adding of the medi\u00adum of radio. The book is published by Spec\u00adtor Books Leip\u00adzig and includes artic\u00adles by Knut Auf\u00ader\u00admann, Anna Friz, Helen Hah\u00admann, Mar\u00adtin Har\u00adtung, Lukas Hol\u00adfeld, Udo Isra\u00adel, Tina Klat\u00adte, Jan Lang\u00adham\u00admer, Micha\u00adel Nico\u00adlai, Sarah Washing\u00adton, Ralf Wendt, Gre\u00adgo\u00adry Whit\u00adehead, Flo\u00adri\u00adan W\u00fcst and Eli\u00adsa\u00adbeth Zim\u00admer\u00admann. The pho\u00adtos were taken by the Hal\u00adle pho\u00adto\u00adgrapher Mar\u00adcus-Andre\u00adas Mohr. The book was desi\u00adgned by gra\u00adphic desi\u00adgner Nas\u00adtia Bessarabova.<\/p>\n

With the Radio Art Resi\u00adden\u00adcy<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, Radio CORAX<\/span> con\u00adti\u00adnues to explo\u00adre the medi\u00adum of radio as a labo\u00adra\u00adto\u00adry for artis\u00adtic pro\u00adces\u00adses. In coope\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon with the Goe\u00adthe-Insti\u00adtut and the sup\u00adport of the Sax\u00ado\u00adny-Anhalt Arts Foun\u00adda\u00adti\u00adon, the fel\u00adlow\u00adship pro\u00adgram stri\u00adves to make inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal acti\u00advi\u00adties in the gen\u00adre of radio art visi\u00adble and audi\u00adble to a lar\u00adger audi\u00adence. Fol\u00adlo\u00adwing in the foot\u00ads\u00adteps of sound artist Sol Rez\u00adza and per\u00adfor\u00admance artist Clai\u00adre Ser\u00adres, the Bra\u00adzi\u00adli\u00adan com\u00adpo\u00adser and media artist Andr\u00e9 Dami\u00e3o<\/strong><\/a> holds the Radio Art Residency\u2019s third scho\u00adlar\u00adship. His work reflects cri\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly on the gen\u00adre of elec\u00adtro\u00adnic art by employ\u00ading mobi\u00adle, inter\u00adac\u00adti\u00adve music with por\u00adta\u00adble elec\u00adtro\u00adnic devices, with which Dami\u00e3o will also expe\u00adri\u00adment during his three-month resi\u00adden\u00adcy at Radio CORAX<\/span>, both on and off the air. Dami\u00e3o is curr\u00adent\u00adly a doc\u00adto\u00adral stu\u00addent in Sono\u00adlo\u00adgy at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo. His works have been pre\u00adsen\u00adted at the 30th S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo Art Bien\u00adni\u00adal, at the Sci\u00adence Gal\u00adlery in Lon\u00addon and at the Mata Fes\u00adti\u00adval in New York, among others.<\/p>\n
