Dami\u00e3o works trans\u00adver\u00adsal\u00adly bet\u00adween the fields of music and elec\u00adtro\u00adnic art. His work reflects cri\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly on the gen\u00adre of elec\u00adtro\u00adnic art by employ\u00ading mobi\u00adle, inter\u00adac\u00adti\u00adve music with por\u00adta\u00adble elec\u00adtro\u00adnic devices. In S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo Dami\u00e3o was deve\u00adlo\u00adping a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/blocoruido\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Noi\u00adse Crowd<\/strong><\/a> (Blo\u00adco Ru\u00ed\u00addo) as a Car\u00adne\u00adval group, which cros\u00adses the city cent\u00adre on Ash Wed\u00adnes\u00addays making noi\u00adse with self-built elec\u00adtro\u00adnic instru\u00adments. During his resi\u00addence at Radio <span class=\"caps\">CORAX<\/span> the artist extends this prac\u00adti\u00adce of mobi\u00adle sound art to the radio. <a href=\"https:\/\/radioart-residency.net\/en\/tag\/andre-damiao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>\u2192 Andr\u00e9 Dami\u00e3o @Radio Art Residency<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The idea of the Blo\u00adco Ru\u00ed\u00addo is to lea\u00adve the con\u00adcert room, as a first pre\u00admi\u00adse. It\u2019s a very nai\u00adve pre\u00admi\u00adse in a sen\u00adse: let\u2019s take the spea\u00adk\u00aders out to the street. But then when you do that lots of other ele\u00adments are brought up to your per\u00adcep\u00adti\u00adon. It chan\u00adges the model of per\u00adfor\u00admance, the model of thin\u00adking about music and the pro\u00adcess of making music. And, it puts in ques\u00adti\u00adon the idea of the com\u00adpo\u00adser, of the per\u00adfor\u00admer, the idea of the audience.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Andr\u00e9 Dami\u00e3o gra\u00addua\u00adted in Com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adon at the Sta\u00adte Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo (<span class=\"caps\">UNESP<\/span>), and is a PhD stu\u00addent in Sono\u00adlo\u00adgy at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of S\u00e3o Pau\u00adlo (<span class=\"caps\">USP<\/span>).
